How is Reiki Taught? When I say taught, I actually mean passed on from reiki master to student through an initiation or energization called an attunement. Traditional reiki consists of three levels including reiki one, reiki two, and the reiki master level. Reiki One: This class is devoted to teaching the basic information about reiki, the history, the hand positions for yourself and others and any other techniques the reiki master wants to share. The reiki one attunements activates the energy. By the end of the class the student will be able to apply Reiki to themselves, others, animals and plants. Reiki Two: This class includes another set of attunements and focuses on increasing the energy, distant treatments and the emotional level. By the end of the class you will know specific techniques to send energy, to increase and focus the energy and to clear negative forms of energy. Reiki Three & The Master Level: This class consists of another attunement and provides you with information on how to pass the energy on to others.
